Sagar Aryal (Founder of The Biology Notes)
Ph.D. Scholar, M.Sc., B.Sc., B.Ed.

Sagar Aryal is currently doing his Ph.D. in Microbiology at the Central Department of Microbiology, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. He was awarded the DAAD Ph.D. sandwich scholarship, where he conducted some part of his Ph.D. research work at Helmholtz-Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland (HIPS), Saarbrucken, Germany, from August 2019 to September 2021. He completed his M.Sc. in Microbiology from St. Xavier’s College, Maitighar, Kathmandu, Nepal. He has also worked as a Lecturer of Microbiology at St. Xavier’s College from March 2017 to June 2019. He is interested in research on actinobacteria, myxobacteria, and natural products. He is the Research Head of the Department of Natural Products, Kathmandu Research Institute for Biological Sciences (KRIBS).
He has published more than 12 research articles and book chapters in international journals and well-renowned publishers. He has traveled to more than ten countries (Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, China, and India) to present his research work. He is also the founder of another educational website, Microbe Notes.
